Towing prices in Union County, NJ: one booking fee for every town, $129 online, and mileage quoted before the truck moves
This is the whole price list for towing in Union County. It does not change by town, by distance from our yard, by hour or by season. The dispatcher reads the mileage on the call, roadside work is one flat price, and county businesses can hold an account.
Two numbers make a Union County tow: the booking fee and the miles to your destination
Every Union County tow is the $149 booking fee ($129 online) plus mileage from the car to the address you choose, both stated on the call before dispatch; a third number appears only if the car needs winching or dollies, and only after you agree to it.
| What | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Booking fee by phone | $149 | Dispatch and hook-up, any hour |
| Booking fee online | $129 | $20 off when you book it yourself |
| Mileage to your destination | Quoted on the call | Before the truck moves. You pick the shop. |
| Jump start · tire · lockout · fuel | One flat price each | No mileage. Tried first when it can solve it. |
| Winch or dollies | Only if the car will not roll | Named before the work, you decide |
| Night, weekend, holiday, fuel surcharge | None | 3 a.m. costs what 3 p.m. costs |
| Storage or release fee | None | The car goes to your shop, not a yard |
The booking fee, the same in all 21 towns
It pays for a truck getting to you and the car getting onto it, in Elizabeth or Berkeley Heights, at dawn or after midnight. Phone it in for $149, or enter it on the booking page for $129. It assumes a car, SUV or pickup; buses, box trucks, tractors and trailers need a bigger truck and are quoted on their own.
Mileage that starts at your car, not our yard
Our yard is in Linden, but we never bill you for the drive from Linden to Summit or Plainfield. The miles are counted from where the car sits to where it goes. That is why a tow within the far western or northern towns stays short on the quote.
Accounts for county businesses
Warehouses and carriers near the port, dealers along Route 22, repair shops in the downtowns and property managers in the hill towns can hold an account. It comes with a rate sheet, a direct line, booked pickup windows and net terms on one invoice a month. See the contact page to set one up.
Charges we do not make
Nothing for being in a far corner of the county. Nothing extra for nights, weekends or holidays, and no fuel surcharge stacked on the miles.
Nothing for a passenger in the cab. No storage and no release fee, because there is no lot.
Cash and card are the same price.
Location, destination and vehicle. Those three give the dispatcher your total.
Get a quote nowBook online · $129Jump starts, tire changes, lockouts and fuel in Union County: one flat price each
Every truck in the county fleet carries a jump pack, tire tools, a lockout kit and fuel, so these four jobs are one flat price with no mileage anywhere in Union County, and the dispatcher sends one of them instead of a tow whenever it will get you moving.
Jump start
Train station lots in Cranford, Westfield, Summit, Rahway, Fanwood and Plainfield after a long day; the Jersey Gardens rows; the Kean University lots; a Scotch Plains driveway on the first freezing morning. If the battery will not take a charge, the tow is added at the flat fee without a second trip.
Flat tire change
The spare goes on where the car stopped, whether that is Route 22, Morris Avenue or a side street in Roselle Park. No spare, or two flats, means a tow to the tire shop you choose.
Car lockout
Keys inside at a Springfield shopping center, a Summit restaurant or an Elizabeth hotel. Damage-free tools, no broken glass.
Fuel delivery
Ran dry on Route 24, Route 1 & 9 or a Reservation road. Enough gas or diesel to reach the next station, at any hour.
Why one Union County price list beats a different quote from every town's listing
A single county-wide list means the fee you read here is the fee in all twenty-one towns, with mileage stated up front and one company name on the receipt, instead of a patchwork of listings whose low opening number often changes when the truck arrives.
Search in Union County and you will find a listing for nearly every town, many pointing to the same call center. Each quotes its own number, and many of those numbers are guesses about a truck the listing has never seen.
Whoever you call, ask the same three questions: what is the booking fee, what is the mileage to my destination, and whose name will be on the receipt.
After an accident, the stakes rise. A truck you did not choose can deliver your car to a lot that charges by the day and holds it for a release fee.
Call your own tow from the scene and tell the officer where the car is going, and no such lot is involved. If an insurer or roadside plan reimburses towing, the itemized receipt from our driver is what they ask for.
A quote costs nothing and it is the same number in every Union County town.

Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.
Is $149 the full price of a tow in Union County?
It covers the truck reaching you and the hook-up. Add mileage to your destination, quoted before dispatch, and that is the total unless the car needs winching.
Why is it $129 online?
You type in the details that the dispatcher would otherwise take down, and the $20 saved goes back to you. Call instead if you are in traffic.
Do the far towns like Berkeley Heights or Plainfield pay extra?
No. The booking fee is identical in every Union County town, and mileage is measured from your car, not from our yard.
Is there a night or holiday rate?
No. The price list does not change with the clock or the calendar.
Will there be a storage fee?
No. There is no lot. The car goes to the address you gave, so there is nothing to store and nothing to release.
Can a business in the county get its own rates?
Yes. Fleets, dealers, shops and property managers can hold an account with a rate sheet, booked windows and one monthly invoice.
